I am responsible for every keystroke

For some reason this section turns into a
hard-to-read script when viewed on mobile.
However it can be viewed just fine on your computer.
Sorry about that. I am working on it.

Always wanted a Van Gogh…
…so I painted one.
…..
There was this day, a while back, where I found myself moving into a new place, unpacking my wall hangings, most of which were original with one glaring exception, a museum print of a Van Gogh. With an “I can do that!”, not having picked up a brush since high school, I went out, bought a set of oils, and painted the above.
While working on the straw hat hanging above the bed, I became enamored with texture. By about the fifth chronologically ordered painting below, I had pretty much abandoned the brush altogether, finding magic in the painting knife and its free-flowing, wet-on-wet, application of pigment in a process not unlike that of frosting a cake.
The end result is, as far as I can tell,
the most intricate painting knife work ever done.
